Zain Iqbal
About Zain:
Our half-Pakistani, half-Californian (and half-Uzbek, according to our VP of Marketing, Liz Westover) is no stranger to offbeat destinations. He took his first real overseas trip when he was 9 years old to Africa and lived as an expat Foreign Service brat in Nigeria, Brazil and the Netherlands. After graduating in 2001 from James Madison University in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley, he joined the Peace Corps shortly thereafter and learned how to teach health and English to rural children in the high deserts of Uzbekistan. Zain recently moved back to San Francisco and mentions New Zealand, Bhutan, and Siberia as his next must go-to travel destinations.
