Room With A View? How about a Room With A Booo!

Omni Hotels are offering more than a room with a view this Halloween, and luring guests with promises of spooky signature cocktails and the potential of an uninvited bed mate in your room.

The Omni Boston Parker House
In a city that’s had it’s own colorful past, the Omni’s Boston Parker House Hotel is one of America’s most haunted hotels. Guests on the 10th floor of the hotel have reported the sound of a rocking chair keeping them up at night, but hauntingly enough, there are no rocking chairs in the hotel. Be alert for the sound of male laughter from what was once room 303, where a businessman died several years ago; so many guests complained about the noise that it’s been converted into a storage closet.
Customer service never dies at the Omni Royal Orleans. Before the hotel had heating in the rooms, a maid would warm the guest’s bed by placing a copper-bottom pan filled with hot coals at the foot of the bed and tuck the covers in all around the bed to keep the guests warm. Guests still report to waking up to find that the sheets of their bed are warm and tucked in snugly around them.
At the Omni Shoreham hotel, there is an aptly-named ‘Ghost Suite’ for those who want to scare themselves silly. TVs and lights flicker on and off throughout the night and sometimes guests in adjacent rooms hear loud noises coming from the suite —when its unoccupied.
If these tales have you reaching for a drink, the Omni Hotels are serving up some gruesome cocktails in their hotel bars. Choose from a ‘Red Widow’ ‘Trick or Tweet‘ or ‘Bond’s Eye‘, but choose wisely. You want to be alert for things that go bump during the night.
