Checking Out: OB.GD
October 14th, 2009 by Zain Iqbal
One of the most rewarding things about travel is sharing stories of your trip with friends, family, or even random, fellow explorers you meet along the way. Because Offbeat Guides loves touting all the great places we find around the world – whether they’re located in Melbourne, Rochester, Oxford, or Osaka – we’ve launched an exciting new website that allows you to tip your hat to your favorite places – http://ob.gd.
At ob.gd (yes, that’s the shortened version of Offbeat Guides) you can create a free, up-to-date, one-page guide from over 30,000 destinations around the globe. Best of all, once you create that guide, you can add tips on your favorite hotels, restaurants, bars, sights and activities in that city.
Our band of time traveling bandits are currently working on adding all sorts of awesome features to ob.gd, including ways to share your reviews with your friends through Facebook and Twitter as well as reward features for adding tips – because everyone likes to be recognized for their contributions.
Got a suggestion or some tips on how to improve ob.gd? We’d love to hear from you so shoot us an email with your comments, compliments or complaints!
