My favorite travel game is to set 10 headings, could be anything from flowers to pop groups. Then go through the alphabet and you have to name a flower or pop group beginning with that letter.
A... aster and Abba and so on.
It's an old game I know but works very well, especially with kids.
I travel a lot on my own and enjoy a game when I am bored, it keeps the brain ticking over too.
